Ikurangi Eco Retreat is located inland on the eastern side of Rarotonga and is the Cook Islands’ first purpose-built eco accommodation, and glamping (glamor camping) site.

Committed to ensuing the protection of the environment the Retreat offers four lavish tents built on shallow foundations to minimize any effect on the land, and two Polynesian style Topical Ares with cooling high ceilings and woven local materials. All rooms have natural and biodegradable toiletries and cleaning products, low energy light bulbs, and solar lighting where possible, the tents also feature modern composting toilets.

Each tent is equipped with fully screened windows, a pedestal fan, electricity, private en-suite, waffle robes, outdoor shower, free artisan coffee and teas, a bar fridge. Fresh breakfast is delivered to your tent each morning consisting of fresh fruit, artisan breads and muesli. For a little extra romance the Ariki Safari Tent boasts an out door claw foot bath.
